FIFA will crown a new world champion TODAY - and not one boot will cross a white line.
This World Cup will not be decided on the pitch - rather it's the FIFA Interactive World Cup to identify the world's best FIFA 17 gamer.
The grand finals take place in Westminster and the overall winner will pocket a cool $200,000 - that's £155,120 and a massive increase on last year's comparatively meagre $25,000 grand prize. The world champion will also secure a seat at the Ballon D'Or ceremony next year alongisde the likes of Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo.
A total of 32 gamers make it through to the grand finals, 16 PS4 competitors and 16 Xbox players. Four players from the UK have made it through. They are Spencer 'Gorilla' Ealing, Tassal 'Tass' Rushan, Christopher Scott 'Thee Bullock' Bullock and Ryan 'xL_Ryan' Pessoa.
The overall decider will be played over a two-legged basis, one on each console. We only have one question: what's the policy on 'sweaty' goals?
