NI kids humbled by Denmark

Northern Ireland's hopes of reaching the 2013 Under-21 European Championships suffered a blow as they slumped to 0-3 defeat against 10-man Denmark.

It was the second defeat in a week for Steve Beaglehole's side following their 1-0 loss in Serbia and leaves them struggling on four points from four games in Group Four.

They were missing a handful of regulars, including Josh Carson and Andrew Little, who had been called up to the senior side after returning from Belgrade.

The visitors went in front after only six minutes as Nicklas Helenius netted.

The hosts were given some hope when Mathias Jorgensen was dismissed after 42 minutes but the second half was even worse for Beaglehole's side.

As they pushed for an equaliser substitute Andreas Laudrup scored Denmark's second with nine minutes to go, before Emil Larsen added a third late on.
