NI U21 star Dale Gorman nets move to Leyton Orient
Northern Ireland Under-21 midfielder Dale Gorman has joined National League side Leyton Orient on a two-year deal.
The Letterkenny-born playmaker was released from Stevenage at the end of last season but it hasn't taken him long to find a new home at Brisbane Road.
Gorman has been in England since 2013, signing for Stevenage from hometown club Letterkenny Rovers, and he graduated to a three-year professional deal in 2015.
The 21-year old became a frequent name on the teamsheet, making 30 appearances in the 2016/17 season and a further 27 appearances last season, which was cruelly cut short when he broke his ankle in April.
Now he will look to work his way back up into League Two with the O's, who have given him a two-year pact.
"I am delighted to sign for this great club and I am looking forward to the success in the future," Gorman commented.
"With the players, people and fans we have here already the new season is set to be something special, and I can't wait to get started."
Leyton Orient's director of football Martin Ling added: "We are delighted to welcome Dale Gorman to the football club. He is a young and energetic central midfielder with football league experience, playing over 50 games in League Two.
"He is a lad that has been on our radar for a while and compliments the other central midfielders we already have at the Club."
