Norwich prepare tempting offer for Leeds winger Stuart Dallas

By Steven Beacom

Northern Ireland's Stuart Dallas is wanted by Norwich City with the Canaries keen to snap up the Leeds United star before the transfer window closes.

It is understood Leeds are in no rush to sell Dallas, especially to one of their Championship rivals, but the Carrow Road outfit are big admirers of the Cookstown man's energy and ability to score goals and are weighing up an offer that would prove tempting for the player and the Yorkshire club.

Surprisingly Dallas, who has one year left on his current contract, has yet to start a league game for the Elland Road side this season. He proved his worth last weekend coming off the bench to net in a 2-0 away win at Sunderland.

The 26-year-old stated recently he was happy to fight for his place at Leeds and has talked previously of his desire to help the club reach the Premier League. Norwich clearly believe he could do the same for them.

The former Crusaders hero is due to join up with the Northern Ireland squad next week ahead of the World Cup qualifiers with San Marino and the Czech Republic. In his previous international in June, Dallas was the hero with a late winner in Azerbaijan.

Another deal in the pipeline is Linfield winger Paul Smyth going to QPR with the London club prepared to offer £150,000 for the gifted youngster.
