On-fire McGinn enjoys 'best week ever in football'
Niall McGinn is having the time of his life. Like the rest of his international team-mates, he savoured and celebrated Northern Ireland's qualification for the Euro 2016 finals and after returning home from Helsinki, the Aberdeen winger was told he was the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership player of the month for September thanks to some outstanding performances for his club.
The 28-year-old, who will play for the Dons against Ross County tonight, said: "It's been the best week of my whole career and this award just tops it off.
"I wasn't even born the last time Northern Ireland qualified for a major tournament. To be part of that is very special."
