Paul Pogba absent from Manchester United training
The 24-year-old missed Saturday’s 2-1 win against Liverpool.
Paul Pogba was conspicuous by his absence as Manchester United trained ahead of their crunch Champions League clash with Sevilla.
The 24-year-old missed Saturday’s 2-1 win against bitter rivals Liverpool with an injury sustained on the eve of the game.
Pogba did not appear in much discomfort at Old Trafford after the Premier League game, but looks in danger of missing the Champions League second leg against Sevilla after missing training on Monday.
United boss Jose Mourinho faces the media later in the day and is sure to be asked about the midfielder’s availability – something he was unsure of after beating Liverpool.
“I don’t know,” he said of Pogba’s availability to face Sevilla.
“He’s downstairs now and I will go and speak with him. The injury? It was contact with a player in the last minute of the training session (on Friday).
“If I finished the session one minute before it wouldn’t have happened.”

Pogba, who was surprisingly named on the bench for the goalless first leg, was not alone in missing training at the Aon Training Complex.
Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Ander Herrera and Daley Blind were others absent, although Anthony Martial and Zlatan Ibrahimovic trained ahead of the game.
