Pool agree £10m Robertson fee as focus switches to Keita

By Staff Reporter

Liverpool have agreed a £10m deal with relegated Hull City for Andy Robertson, meaning the 23-year-old is set to become Jurgen Klopp's third signing of the season after Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah.

The Scottish international is already booked in for a medical and will join up with the squad after the Premier League trophy tournament in Hong Kong where the Reds defeated Crystal Palace yesterday thanks to goals from Solanke and Divock Origi.

Robertson will solve a long-term problem position for Klopp, who had resorted to playing James Milner at left-back after losing faith in Alberto Moreno.

While Moreno will be allowed leave, Liverpool will now press on with their attempts to sign Naby Keita from Red Bull Leipzig, although that will likely take a club record of over £70m.
