Arsenal and Chelsea to play pre-season friendly in Dublin

By Adam McKendry

Arsenal and Chelsea will face off in a pre-season friendly in Dublin's Aviva Stadium on Wednesday, August 1.

The two clubs will meet as part of their Premier League and Europa League preparations in the International Champions Cup.

While both sides' World Cup stars will more than likely be rested for the glamour tie, it's still a chance for fans to see some up-and-coming stars from both teams.

It will also be a chance for Arsenal fans to get an early glimpse at the style of play Unai Emery wants to impose on the team after taking over from Arsene Wenger.

Tickets will go on sale from TicketMaster this Friday, June 15 at 11am.

Liverpool and Napoli have already confirmed they will be playing a friendly three days later on Saturday, August 4.
