Balanta commits to QPR

QPR striker Angelo Balanta has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

The 21-year-old, born in Colombia, is a product of the youth set-up at Loftus Road but has found first-team opportunities limited.

Balanta has had three loan spells away from QPR, firstly with Wycombe before back-to-back seasons with the MK Dons, but he is now looking to fight for a place in Mark Hughes' side.

"I've grown up at the club and come through the youth system, so I'm really pleased to have been given a new contract," Balanta told the club's official website.

"I've got another two years and I'm looking to push on now. I'm going to come into pre-season, work my socks off and see where that will take me.

"I've been out on loan a number of times but I'm looking to establish myself here now."
