Championship side have second bid rejected for NI midfielder Oliver Norwood

By Josh Bunting

Brighton have rejected a second bid from Sky Bet Championship club Hull City for Northern Ireland international midfielder Oliver Norwood.

It is believed Norwood is keen to make the move, but Hull's new offer is not close to Albion's valuation.

The former Manchester United trainee, who spent last season on loan at Fulham, has won back-to-back promotions to the Premier League and is attracting interest from other Championship clubs.

Brighton are open to offers for Norwood and value him at £1.5m.

However, it is understood Hull remain the only club to have made formal bids at this stage.

Hull who start their new campaign on Monday at home to Aston Villa want to get the deal done before the big kick off.

Norwood made 41 appearances for Fulham last season as the Cottagers secured promotion to the top-flight with a play-off win over Aston Villa.
