Ashley Cole: with Jose Mourinho, Chelsea can win the lot
Ashley Cole wants to win the Premier League and Champions League at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho.
Cole believes he owes a debt of gratitude to the Portuguese, who controversially signed the left-back from Arsenal in 2006.
"Having the manager back now from 2006, when he bought me, I still feel I owe him something," said Cole, who played for Mourinho for little more than a season before the Special One's departure in September 2007.
"I didn't really feel I played as well as I could and as well as I have for Chelsea since, when he bought me.
"I think I owe him a lot. As a team, I hope we can go on and win many trophies. It's a big club and we need to win trophies.
"We're confident that this season could be a great season for Chelsea.
"I've been lucky enough to win big trophies. Of course, I hope to win more. Having the manager back, hopefully we can do it all together.
"As players we owe it to the manager to win the league or the Champions League again."
Mourinho long courted Cole and was fined for breaching Premier League rules by secretly meeting the defender, without Arsenal's knowledge, at a London restaurant in January 2005.
Chelsea and Cole were also punished before the left-back moved to Stamford Bridge 18 months later in a £5m deal which included William Gallas moving in the opposite direction
The Blues have signed three players this summer -- Andre Schurrle, Marco van Ginkel and Mark Schwarzer -- with Mourinho's sole remaining transfer target Wayne Rooney.
Chelsea saw a bid for the Manchester United striker rejected last week and are expected to return for Rooney before the September 2 close of the transfer window.
Cole believes a player has one thought when they know they are wanted by Mourinho -- to join him.
"I jumped at the chance," he said. "He's a great manager. He's proved how good he is with the number of trophies he's won."
