Conte salutes late Cesc show
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte praised midfielder Cesc Fabregas after the Spaniard scored two extra-time goals to see off Leicester in the EFL Cup.
The Blues fought back from two goals down to tie the match in normal time, 2-2, before Fabregas' strikes in the 92nd and 94th minutes clinched a 4-2 triumph.
"I am pleased for Cesc because he played a good game, he showed me great commitment in the training sessions," Conte said afterwards.
"This is the right way and I want my players to create good competition."
The biggest casualty of last night's third round matches was Everton, who suffered a 2-0 defeat at Goodison Park to Norwich.
However, Arsenal and Liverpool both made it safely into the fourth round with victories away to Nottingham Forest and Derby.
