Edwards eyes April return
Wolves midfielder David Edwards has set his sights on returning to action at the beginning of April for the final six games of the campaign.
Edwards has endured an injury-hit campaign and is currently sidelined with a back problem which he fears is hereditary. He has already been ruled out of Wales' Euro 2012 qualifier with England at the Millennium Stadium on March 26. But is hoping he will be available at the start of next month to help Wolves in their relegation battle.
Edwards, previously out of action with thigh and hamstring problems, said: "It's been a nightmare time with injuries and this back problem is another frustrating setback."
He added: "I'd got back into the team and did okay in the 4-0 win over Blackpool and then this problem came from nowhere.
"It was decided to have a scan, particularly as my dad and brother have previously suffered from back trouble.
"There may be a weakness in the family and what came back supported that theory, and it's just disappointing."
Edwards added: "I've got another scan in three weeks and if there's an improvement and everything has repaired, then I can head back to training.
"That would be about the start of April and, if all was well, I could be fit for the last five or six games.
"But if there is no improvement, then it will be a different timescale."
