Former Fifa vice-president Jim Boyce

Former FIFA vice-president Jim Boyce has declared that he is 'totally against' the idea of a European Super League and has urged the football authorities to stand up to the 12 clubs who are behind the idea.

English Premier League sides Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham plus Spanish teams Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid and Italian outfits AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus have agreed to join a new European Super League (ESL) which would change the game forever.
