West Ham have had a £20million bid rejected by London and Premier League rivals Fulham for captain Tom Cairney.
Cairney scored the winning goal in the play-off final against Aston Villa last month to secure Fulham's return to the Premier League.
It is believed that Cairney was keen to join West Ham when they bid for him in January, but it is unclear how Fulham's promotion to the top flight has affected his thinking.
The Hammers have also been linked with a move for Jack Wilshere as he was told by new Gunners boss Unai Emery that he had no future in his first team at the Emirates earlier this week.
After meeting with the Spaniard, Wilshere says he was informed his game time would be "significantly reduced" if he chose to remain at the Emirates.
Wilshere has also been linked with Premier League sides Everton,Wolves and Crystal Palace as well as Serie A's Juventus, AC Milan and Sampdoria.
