I can bring something fresh to England, insists Jorginho

By Staff Reporter

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho believes he can offer something never seen before in the Premier League as the squad prepare to embrace the "wonderful work" of Maurizio Sarri.

Italian tactician Sarri and his squad, along with new assistant coach Gianfranco Zola, touched down in Australia yesterday ahead of a pre-season match against Perth Glory.

The signing of Jorginho on a five-year deal from Napoli for £50m sees the Brazil-born Italian reunite with Sarri. Jorginho is confident both he and Sarri - appointed on a three-year deal to replace compatriot Antonio Conte - can make an impact in their first campaigns in English football.

"Perhaps my style of play is not something s seen in England, I really hope that it is a good fit and I will be doing everything I can to make sure it works out," he said. "I like playing just outside my own penalty box, the player who receives the ball and organises."

Jorginho has no doubts about what qualities Sarri can bring.

"He is someone who does wonderful work, he is right on top of everything," he added.
