Liverpool look to strengthen unexpected position and target two attackers ahead of January transfer window: rumours
Liverpool have been linked with three more names ahead of the January transfer window, but one of the potential signing comes with a huge caveat.
We'll get that one out of the way first as Liverpool securing the services of Real Madrid winger LUCAS VAZQUEZ would require the unthinkable: Mohamed Salah leaving Anfield already. The Egyptian has netted 19 goals in 24 appearances for the Reds since his summer arrival and has already been subject of much speculation surrounding a potential shift to Spain. Dan Balon claim that Real are keen to add more goals to their team and see Salah as an ideal way to do that. The report claims Los Blancos would be willing to part with Vazquez, who moved to the Bernabeu in 2015 from Espanyol. He has started only seven fixtures this season, netting once.
The other two Liverpool links come with no heart-breaking outgoings. Next up is French international THOMAS LEMAR, who is reportedly a wanted man at more than one Premier League club. According to thisisanfield.com, L'Equipe have reported that Liverpool are ready to make a €90 million January offer for the attacker who they are thought to have bid for at the end of the summer window. Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to be interested.
And finally, Liverpool are reported to have already made contact with Atletico Madrid over Croatian full-back SIME VRSALJKO. Corrierre dello Sport, via the Mirror, have claimed to have confirmation from Atleti director of football Andrea Berta that the Reds have been in touch. The 25-year-old right-back has started only three La Liga fixtures this season. He was named in the line-up for only 11 league matches last season, failing to nail down a starting spot since joining from Italian side Sassuolo in 2016.
