Liverpool have confirmed they will play a friendly in Dublin this summer.
Jurgen Klopp's side will play the Aviva Stadium on August 5 as part of their final preparations for the new Premier League campaign with the game just days before it kicks off.
It will be the first time the two sides have met since the European Cup campaign of 1983-84, which saw Liverpool go on to lift the trophy for the fourth time in Rome.
Reds ambassador Ian Rush, who scored in that memorable game, said: “We always get such an amazing reception in Dublin.
“Even though this is a friendly game, I’m sure our incredible Irish supporters will make the atmosphere just as good when we meet Bilbao this time around.”
Tickets go on sale on May 31 from Ticketmaster.
