Kompany does the business
Ecstatic Pep Guardiola declared the destiny of the Premier League title in Manchester City's hands after his inspirational captain Vincent Kompany struck a sensational winner to send his side back to the top of the table with a dramatic and tense 1-0 win over Leicester.
City's long-serving skipper netted with a ferocious long-range shot to settle nerves after 70 minutes of a nail-biting contest at the Etihad Stadium.
The title race now comes down to a final day shakedown with one-point leaders City away to Brighton and challengers Liverpool at home to Wolves.
"We are away and we saw Brighton had a good game at Arsenal but it is in our hands," Guardiola said. "We were seven points behind, but we are in the last game and we are going to prepare well. We'll see if Brighton defend deep or will be more offensive but hopefully we will have the performance to be champions."
