Manchester United players convince Alvaro Morata to sign and today's other rumours

Manchester United are hoping to tie up a deal for ALVARO MORATA this week and it is looking good according to reports from Spain.

Marca is claiming that the Real Madrid striker has been convinced to sign on at Old Trafford by boss Jose Mourinho and two of his international team-mates. David De Gea and Ander Herrera have been putting their time on Spain duty to good use, trying to convince Morata to make the move.

If he does sign, Morata might not be the only striker joining United imminently, or in this case, re-joining.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC, although he is a free agent from July 1, will sign a short-term deal if his rehabilitation continues to go well, according to the Manchester Evening News. The 35 year-old will continue his recovery from injury at United's Carrington training base and could return to the pitch next season.

The MEN are also reporting that highly-rated midfielder FABINHO is close to joining United from Monaco.

JOE HART admits he has had no interest ahead of a likely Manchester City exit this summer, but the Sun claim West Ham will make an offer for the goalkeeper.
