Manchester United are looking at landing as many as three of the world's top talents - one a familiar face - according to today's rumour mill.
According to the Daily Mail, ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC will tie up a new deal with the club before the end of the month. The 35 year-old has been using the help of the club to recover from a knee-ligament injury and, although he was originally expected to miss as much as half of the new season, the Swede's rehabilitation is now thought to be ahead of schedule.
And rumours that he will pen a new deal at United have been further fuelled by Eric Bailly's mischievous tweet:
Meanwhile, United are also though to be targeting two players in France, with the club linked to moves for both THOMAS LEMAR and JULIAN DRAXLER.
Both of those attacking stars are also rumoured to be on Arsene Wenger's wanted-list, although the Arsenal manager wants to sell before he buys.
Lemar can play on either wing or through the centre and reporter Ian McGarry told The Transfer Window podcast that United are "in the driving seat" for his signature - even though he claims Arsenal have been trying to land the player for six weeks.
Draxler has been linked to United, Arsenal and Liverpool since his PSG side signed Neymar, reportedly making the German surplus to requirements. According to TransferMarketWeb, Wenger is readying a bid while his two Premier League rivals are also keen on securing the services of the former Wolfsburg star.
He is reportedly seen as an alternative to IVAN PERISIC for United as reports in Premium Sport suggest the Croatian will snub a move to England in favour of a new contract at current club Inter Milan.
Barcelona have already seen one of their star name players leave in a world-record transfer deal against their will, and it could be about to happen again. The Daily Record reports that Manchester City officials have met with representatives of LIONEL MESSI as they consider activating his £275million release clause.
It could be the end of an era at Barca, as the Daily Mail reports ANDRES INIESTA is yet to sign a new deal with less than 12 months left on his current contract.
Arsenal have offered ALEX-OXLADE CHAMBERLAIN a new contract to ward off interest from Chelsea, according to the Daily Star.
