Manchester United are set for big changes, according to the latest transfer rumours.

Jose Mourinho is close to securing the signing of Barcelona and Colombia defender Yerry Mina, according to the Guardian. The centre-half scored three times at this summer's World Cup finals but has started only four La Liga games since joinining Barca in January. The 23-year-old is 'set to' join United after the club ended their interest in Leicester's Harry Maguire.

Mina has been widely linked with a move away from Barcelona and is also said to be interesting Everton but Argentinian outlet Ole report that Toffees boss Marco Silva has instead bid £29.3m for United's Marcos Rojo.

United are also looking to improve their options at the other end of the pitch and could be in line for a sensational swoop for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, according to the Sun. They claim that United will demand the Polish striker in exchange for Anthony Martial, who is being linked with a move away. The Old Trafford club want £70m for the Frenchman but Bayern aren't willing to spend more than £50m so Lewandowski could be used to bridge the gap.

Martial is in hot water with boss Jose Mourinho after the birth of his second child. The French attacker didn't get back out to rejoin United's pre-season tour of USA. And, according to the Daily Star, United are preparing a two-week fine, totalling £180,000. That is likely to signal the end of his Old Trafford career, with the report claiming that Mourinho has decided Martial is 'not mentally strong enough' to play for his team.

Another option in attack is Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele. Spanish transfer rumour enthusiasts Don Balon are reporting that another loan deal could be on the cards this time involving Paul Pogba. Barcelona are rumoured to have held talks with the Frenchman and are willing to let Dembele leave in return for the midfielder.

Meanwhile, Lewis Cook, who captained England’s triumphant under-20 World Cup side last summer, is wanted by Tottenham, according to the Daily Star. The Bournemouth midfielder will cost Spurs around £30m, the paper says.

West Ham have been rebuffed by Celta Vigo after the Hammers bid £27m for striker Maxi Gomez, the Daily Mirror says. It is reported the Spanish club are asking for £35m to meet his release clause.
