Norman Whiteside's FA Cup medals, Northern Ireland shirt from the 1982 World Cup and Manchester United FA Cup final shirts are expected to be some of the highest priced items.

Sixty unique items of football memorabilia from Norman Whiteside's remarkable career have been listed for auction including the FA Cup medal he won after his famous final goal in 1985 and his shirt from the 1982 World Cup.

The lots are all now available for online bids and it is estimated that they will fetch between £85,050 and £141,050 when they go up for final online auction via Ewbank's on July 29 from 12 noon.

The items are forecast to fetch the biggest price - £10,000 to £15,000 each - are Whiteside's two FA Cup winning medals, won with Manchester United in 1983 and 1985.

In the 1983 final, Whiteside became the youngest ever scorer in an FA Cup decider as United beat Brighton 4-0 in a replay and he scored the winner in the 1985 showpiece match when United edged Everton.

Also set to bring in £5,00-£8,000 is a match-worn Northern Ireland shirt from the 1982 World Cup finals with Whiteside's Manchester United jersey from the 1985 FA Cup final expected to bring in between £3,000 and £5,000.

Strangely, Whiteside's United track top from the 1983 final is listed with a £300 to £500 estimate, although in reality it is likely to fetch much more, with his 1985 zip top forecast between £2,000 and £4,000.

Scroll down for a full list of the 60 items and their estimated price.

Whiteside scored 68 goals in 278 First Division appearances for Manchester United and Everton before being forced into retirement aged only 26 due to a long-standing knee injury in 1992.

It was a career that shot into the history books within months of its beginning. Having made his United debut aged 16 in April 1982, just a couple of months later he would break Pele's record to become the youngest player ever to feature at the World Cup finals; aged 17 months and 41 days.

It's a record that still stands today but while he was taking to the pitch in Spain, he was earning just £250 a week at Old Trafford.

That would rise to £400 a few years later and by the time he hung up his boots, he was earning £60,000 per year.

With such a short career on relatively low pay compared to modern-day Premier League superstars, Whiteside has decided to cash in on much of the memorabilia he collected during his short but storied playing days.

"No one's pressurised me to do it, but now I'm 55 I want to make sure that all my pension provisions are in place," Whiteside explained. "I get a small pension from my footballing days, but we didn't earn much in those days before the Premiership so I want to put that together with what the auction will raise to secure the future."
