Watch: Paul Pogba sends message to critics following 'naughty' World Cup final goal

Paul Pogba sent a message to his critics following his goal in the World Cup final as France beat Croatia 4-2.

The Manchester United midfielder blasted a stunning strike to put his side 3-1 ahead at the start of the second half to end a move that he started with a blasted pass which earned rave reviews.

"That's naughty," said Rio Ferdinand in the BBC studio after the game. "He shouldn't even be thinking about that pass. The execution of that on the volley is brilliant. It's the pass of the tournament.

"He doesn't admire it, which a lot of players might, he thinks 'I want to catch up with the play, it might come to me.'

"For some reason, the jigsaw hasn't been put together properly in a Manchester United shirt. Jose Mourinho is going to have to unlock this Paul Pogba."

After the game, Pogba appeared to silence the critics that have questioned his performances, scoring 15 goals in his first two season at Old Trafford.
