Martin O'Neill odds on to become next Everton manager
Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill is odds on to take over as Everton manager.
The Republic of Ireland boss' future was cast into doubt after the World Cup play-off defeat to Denmark.
Now Skybet rate O'Neill as 4/7 to take over the top job at Goodison Park, with Watford's Marco Silva second favourite at 5/1. Sean Dyche is at 7/1 along with ex Tottenham boss Andre Villas Boas.
On Friday, Everton's majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri was reported as saying that club are 'close' to unveiling a new manager.
O'Neill, 65, has been in charge of Ireland since 2013, guiding the team to the Euro 2016 finals and within one step of reaching the World Cup.
However, criticism followed Ireland's 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Denmark in the play-off second leg.
