Jonas Olsson is closing in on a first-team return with West Brom.
The 31-year-old centre-back has now completed two full games for the under-21s over the past 10 days since undergoing Achilles tendon surgery before Christmas.
Olsson played another 90 minutes for the Baggies on Tuesday in the 1-0 Birmingham Senior Cup victory over Hednesford.
Head coach Tony Pulis believes Olsson will have a part to play in the club's bid to beat relegation from the Barclays Premier League.
Pulis said: "He is getting closer, and we need to give him as much game-time as possible.
"He needs to play because over the next 13 games in the Premiership we are going to pick up injuries along the way, so we need to get Jonas as fit as we possible can."
