Serial winner: Pep Guardiola lifted his 30th trophy as a manager

Pep Guardiola was beaming with pride after winning his 30th trophy since taking his first job as Barcelona manager in 2008.

The Manchester City manager steered his side to a 1-0 Carabao Cup final win over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley, securing the club's fourth consecutive victory in the competition.

With the Premier League title almost secured, he now turns his attention to this week's Champions League semi-final against Paris St Germain.

Aymeric Laporte headed home Kevin de Bruyne's free-kick eight minutes from time in a final played in front of 8,000 supporters.

"It's good," said Guardiola when asked about 30 trophies. "I was in big clubs so that is why it is easier to do it.

"It's not full in the stadium, but it was a great noise from the supporters. Today we are incredibly happy that we have four in-a-row in this competition. We tried to win the game, created a lot of chances.

"It's nice, four Carabao Cups in-a-row, it means consistency in the team to be there. We beat Arsenal and Manchester United on the way so we can say we deserved to win this competition."

No manager has lifted the trophy more times than the Spaniard's four. He's now level with Brian Clough, Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho.

City captain Fernandinho said: "I feel very good. It is an amazing sensation. I'm so happy for myself and for my teammates. We have to enjoy this moment now.

"We had a high intensity. We pressed them high and we created chances. Hugo Lloris made some really good saves and we also hit the post."
