Premier League January transfer XI

There was again plenty of business done during the January transfer window by Barclays Premier League clubs.

Here, Press Association Sport take as a look at a potential starting XI from some of the players who have found new teams since the start of 2016.

Costel Pantilimon (Watford, from Sunderland) - 6ft 8in Romanian swapped Black Cats for Hornets, where he will battle with Heurelho Gomes

Steven Caulker (Liverpool, from QPR) - One-cap England international had been on loan at Southampton from QPR, but switched to Reds

Timm Klose (Norwich, from Wolfsburg) - Swiss centre-back left Germany and watched from bench as his new club lost 5-4 to Liverpool

Jan Kirchhoff (Sunderland, from Bayern Munich) - German was given a tough baptism when coming on against Spurs and will need to adapt quickly

Sam Byram (West Ham, from Leeds) - Hammers coughed up £3.7m for the highly-rated full-back, who was also interesting Everton

Mohamed Elneny (Arsenal, from Basle) - Gunners brought in £5m Egyptian to strengthen midfield as they aim to push for the title

Jonjo Shelvey (Newcastle, from Swansea) - £12m midfielder swapped one relegation battle for another, but will be up for the fight

Andros Townsend (Newcastle, from Tottenham) - Winger will be hoping more game-time for Magpies can boost Euro 2016 hopes

Benik Afobe (Bournemouth, from Wolves) - Cherries spent club-record £12m on the Championship striker, who has already found the net

Emmanuel Adebayor (Crystal Palace, free agent) - Eagles picked up the Togo frontman following his summer release by Tottenham

Steven Naismith (Norwich, from Everton) - After scoring on his debut, Canaries hope £8m Scotland striker can help them beat the drop
