Rashford ruins Jose return
Marcus Rashford made it an unhappy return to Old Trafford for Jose Mourinho as the striker's double earned a 2-1 win for Manchester United over Tottenham.
Rashford's opener was cancelled out by Dele Alli's equaliser just before half-time, but the England international won and converted a second-half penalty to take all three points from the clash.
"Rashford's getting more and more experienced, and what a performance. Two goals, should have had two more, a fantastic performance from the boy," enthused boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool piled more misery onto Merseyside rivals Everton with a 5-2 thrashing at Anfield that increases the pressure on Everton manager Marco Silva.
Divock Origi scored twice, while Xherdan Shaqiri and Sadio Mane also scored as the Reds restored their 11-point lead at the top of the table, and at the same time pushed their rivals into the relegation zone thanks to Southampton's 2-1 win over Norwich.
Elsewhere, Brendan Rodgers' Leicester stayed in third with a 2-0 win over Watford at the King Power Stadium, while Chelsea were 2-1 winners over Aston Villa and Wolves moved up to fifth with a 2-0 win over West Ham.
