Tottenham v Southampton: What the numbers tell us

Tottenham host Southampton on Sunday looking to keep sight of league leaders Chelsea - and more importantly ensure they remain in the top four until the end of the season.

The visitors have had two weeks off and will be looking to end their Premier League campaign on a positive note to ensure a top-half finish.

Here, Press Association Sport looks ahead to the fixture in numbers.

118 - Meetings between the sides. Tottenham lead the head-to-head with 52 wins to Southampton's 37, with 29 draws.

25 - Goals in the last seven meetings between the two teams, including five in the most recent clash in December. Spurs hammered Southampton at St Mary's, running out 4-1 winners with goals from Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and a Dele Alli brace.

08/05/16 - Southampton are the last team to win at White Hart Lane in the Premier League, 2-1 on May 8. A Steven Davis double cancelled out Son's opener, which helped Southampton finish sixth whilst Spurs squandered second place to rivals Arsenal and finished third following final-day defeat to Newcastle.

14 - Spurs are undefeated in 14 home league games this season. They have won 12 of those, including their last nine, and drawn the other two against Liverpool and Leicester.

7 - The number of goals Spurs have conceded in the Premier League at White Hart Lane this season.

1 - Southampton's victory last season is their only win against Spurs since 2005, Spurs winning seven of the nine meetings in that time.

1 - There has only been one draw in this fixture since 2001. That came in April 2015, when Spurs came from behind on two occasions to rescue a 2-2 draw at St Mary's.

4 - Southampton have scored four goals in back-to-back Premier League away games, defeating Watford 4-3 at the beginning of the month and Sunderland 4-0 on February 11.

2013/14 - The last time Spurs completed a league double over Southampton.
