Villa are our priority, not top spot: Silva
Everton boss Marco Silva is not thinking about whether his team can go top of the Premier League at Aston Villa tonight.
With no other games played until tomorrow, the Toffees could move to the summit for first time in 12 years with victory over promoted Villa.
Silva said: "It would be good, but we have to prove we are able to do that. It is up to us to prove on the pitch we are able to get the three points.
"Afterwards we will see the result and if we get to the top. In our minds we just have to respect them and go there with desire and commitment to win."
Silva confirmed Lucas Digne was fit after recovering from the knock that forced him off in last week's win over Watford.
Leighton Baines is also back in contention, but summer signing Fabian Delph is still sidelined.
Silva said of Delph: "He has started with the team - not full sessions - but if he does full sessions next week it will be possible for him to play."
New signing Alex Iwobi is also nearing his Everton debut.
Silva said: "We are all looking forward to that, but he didn't have a pre-season.
"If I decide he's ready, he'll be ready to help and give the high quality he has."
