Celtic lead chase to sign Premier League defender but stars set to leave as Rangers face striking upheaval: Old Firm transfer rumours
With just over a fortnight to go until the transfer window closes, the Old Firm rumor mill continues to churn out some interesting prospects.
According to City Watch, Celtic are best-placed to sign Manchester City defender Jason Denayer, although will have to fight off competition from Turkish club Galatasaray and Serie A side Torino, who are both in the hunt for the Belgian international's signature.
It's thought Celtic want their former loan star initially on another loan deal with an option to buy, with Manchester City asking for £8 million to make the move permanent.
The Hoops are keen to bolster their defensive ranks, with Dedryck Boyata close to a move to Sevilla according to reports in Spain. Boyata is thought to be keen to secure a move away from Celtic Park, with a prospective transfer to Fulham blocked by the Scottish champions during the English transfer window.
He may not be the only player set to leave Celtic Park as Marseille prepare a £13.5m bid for striker Moussa Dembele, according to L'Equipe. The forward has scored 50 goals in 91 appearances and the French side are believed to be confident they can prise him away from Glasgow before the end of the window.
Meanwhile, Rangers are thought to be edging closer to capturing Hearts' Kyle Lafferty.
