Celtic ace Kris Commons keen to finish the job and target Champions League glory

By Staff Reporter

Celtic ace Kris Commons wants the Scottish Premiership title wrapped up as soon as possible to start preparing for the Champions League next season.

The Hoops will win their fourth successive championship with three games left if they beat Dundee at Parkhead tonight (7.45pm) and Aberdeen fail to beat Dundee United tomorrow.

Commons  said: "It is about getting it done and dusted, the sooner the better, and hopefully the manager might start making changes to give senior players a rest.

"Everyone knows our biggest games of the season come short and sharp around July so it is important for them to get the feet up. Everyone thinks in the off-season you get the feet up to go away and recharge the batteries.

"We get three weeks off and are back in the swing of things."

Former Cliftonville favourite Liam Boyce has been handed a two-year deal at Ross County.

The Northern Ireland international has helped fire the club off the bottom of the Scottish Premiership to 10th place.
