Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer has signed a new four-year contract with the club, keeping him at Parkhead until 2022.
The Scottish champions made the announcement as they called a media conference on Monday afternoon for the Norway international to discuss his new deal.
Ajer has been a key figure at the heart of Celtic's defence in the second half of this season, making 33 appearances.
The 20-year old joined from Norwegian side IK Start in July 2016 but had to be content with a loan spell at Kilmarnock towards the latter end of his first season with the club as he struggled to break into the Hoops' team.
However, this season he has caught the eye of Brendan Rodgers and has been a mainstay in the heart of the Celtic defence, playing a vital role in helping them successfully defend their Scottish Premiership title.
