Davis focusing on Saints tour as Gers consider bid

By Staff Reporter

Northern Ireland international Steven Davis is focusing on Southampton's pre-season tour to China as speculation grows regarding a move to Rangers.

New Gers boss Steven Gerrard is understood to be keen to bring the Cullybackey man back to Ibrox.

Davis played 152 games for Rangers during a six-year spell after initially joining on loan from Fulham, winning three Scottish top-flight titles.

The 33-year-old also won two Scottish Cups and three League Cups during his time in Glasgow.

The former Aston Villa player has 12 months left on his current contract.

Rangers have already completed deals for Jon Flanagan, Nikola Katic, Connor Goldson, Ovie Ejaria, Jamie Murphy, Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor this summer.
