Oran Kearney's St Mirren face Scottish Premiership relegation play-off despite win

Oran Kearney's St Mirren side face a Scottish Premiership relegation play-off against Dundee United despite winning their final game of the season.

His team defeated Dundee 3-2 on Saturday but must now fight for survival after relegation rivals Hamilton beat St Johnstone 2-0 and secured safety.

Former Coleraine boss Kearney has rejected speculation linking him with a return to the Bannsiders, but it would be more likely if his are relegated from Scotland's top division.

St Mirren will go into the play-off full of confidence with Kearney's side unbeaten in their last six games.

They will travel to Dundee for the first leg of the relegation decider on Thursday, before playing the second leg on Sunday.
