Rangers linked with attacking trio as Celtic are in line for possible Premier League striker switch: Old Firm transfer rumours

Rangers have already added Sean Goss and Jamie Murphy to their squad this month but the latest transfer rumours suggest the arrivals aren't finished yet.

The Ibrox club have now been linked with three different strikers, the first of which has genius in his genes.

Fleetwood former DEVANTE COLE, son of former Manchester United striker Andy, is said to be wanted by the Gers, Sheffield United and Millwall. But the Scottish side are keen to win the race for the 22-year-old with the Sun claiming the club are ready to pounce with a pre-contract agreement. The forward, who helped his side draw 0-0 with Leicester on Saturday, is out of contract this summer. He has netted 12 goals in 30 appearances this season.

The second striker linked with Rangers is a familiar face in the form of STEVEN NAISMITH. The 31 year-old spent five years at the club before leaving in 2012 when he opted not to have his contract transferred to the reformed club, who were set to play in the fourth tier of Scottish football. Now the Sun claim that the Norwich City ace is willing to play for free until the end of the season to convince Ibrox chiefs to bring him back. Naismith has 18 months to run on his current deal at Carrow Road but has played only two Championship matches this season.

Finally, the Gers have been linked with another Championship forward - Nottingham Forest's JASON CUMMINGS. The Sunday Post claim that a bid of up to £1 million could be enough to persuade Forest to part with the 22-year-old who only joined from Hibernian during the summer. Cummings has scored just one Championship goal in 14 appearances this season, although he did net against both Newcastle United and Shrewsbury Town in the League Cup.

Meanwhile, Celtic have been linked with an audacious attempt to lure Liverpool's DANIEL STURRIDGE north of the border. The England forward's five and a half year stint at Anfield has been hampered by injury and he has made only five Premier League appearances this season. The Gambling Times claim that former Pool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to bring the 28-year-old to Glasgow, while the same report links Newcastle United with a move for the striker.

If Sturridge does land at Celtic Park, it could be as a replacement for MOUSSA DEMBELE, if the Sun are to be believed. The latest club to be linked with a move for the Frenchman is Liverpool's Merseyside's rivals Everton. Dembele has also been linked with a move to Brighton but the report claims the south coast side are worried by Celtic's £20 million valuation of the player who has netted eight goals so far this season.
