Old Firm's delight at Euro double
Rangers and Celtic both reached the Europa League group stage last night but the Gers needed a late goal from Alfredo Morelos to seal their progress.
Morelos headed home after a cross from Northern Ireland international Jordan Jones in added time to secure a 1-0 aggregate win over Legia Warsaw at Ibrox.
The first leg in Warsaw had ended goalless but Morelos had the final say on a nerve-shredding evening in Glasgow.
While Gers chief Steven Gerrard was relieved, Neil Lennon hailed an "awesome performance" from his side as Celtic marched into the group stage.
The Hoops thumped AIK 4-1 to ease some of the pain of their Champions League exit.
James Forrest's effort was cancelled out by a Sebastien Larsson penalty, but an own goal from goalkeeper Oscar Linner, and strikes from Christopher Jullien and Lewis Morgan secured a 6-1 aggregate win in Stockholm.
"It was an awesome performance," said former Northern Ireland international Lennon.
"Our front four were marvellous, brilliant to watch, brilliant football."
