Rangers target Liverpool forward while Celtic close in on former England U20 ace: Old Firm transfer rumours
Rangers have already signed two players from Anfield this summer and could be set to add a third, according to the latest transfer rumours.
Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard has added Jon Flanagan (free transfer) and Ovie Ejaria (loan) to his Gers panel and is now being linked with a move for forward Danny Ings.
The 25-year-old striker's career at the Reds has been ruined by knee problems since he sustained an ACL ligament injury in the Merseyside derby way back in October 2015. Just last week, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers played down speculation linking the former Burnley forward with a move to Celtic Park. Now the Scotsman claim that Gerrard could bid to bring Ings to Ibrox.
Rangers have also been linked with moves for Roma striker Umar Sadiq and Angers midfielder Lassana Coulibaly in recent days.
Going the other direction through the Ibrox door could be Josh Windass. The player's father Dean seemed to confirm on Twitter last week that he has a £3 million release clause in his Rangers contract. With Cardiff City linked with a move for the player last month, they're still the top team tipped to move for the 24-year-old, who netted 13 Scottish Premiership goals last season.

Meanwhile, Celtic's resolve could be tested with Everton lining up a bid for full-back Kieran Tierney. The Scottish Sun claim that the Merseyside club are planning a £25m offer for the 21-year-old. The report says he would earn £60,000-per-week at Goodison, becoming Leighton Baines' long-term successor at left-back.
It could be a case of one full-back out and one in for Brendan Rodgers, who confirmed his club are in talks with former England U20 right-back Moses Odubajo. While Rodgers said there was 'nothing concrete' at the end of last week, the Scotsman report that the Hoops are ready to offer the 24-year-old a contract after gaining permission from his current club Hull City and bringing Odubajo out to the Celtic training camp in Austria.
