Scottish Championship side join race for Coleraine winger Darren McCauley
Coleraine winger Darren McCauley is approaching decision time on his future with a Scottish Championship side joining the clamour for his signature.
The 27-year-old had admitted that he was mulling over a move back to hometown club Derry City shortly before he was placed on the transfer list at the start of January, the Bannsiders revealing that a 'lucrative' offer couldn't convince him to stay.
Crusaders soon made their move while Larne and Cork City were also linked, along with League One strugglers Plymouth Argyle.
Now it is understood that Inverness Caledonian Thistle are keen on landing the player. Caley currently sit fifth in the table and are keen to bolster their squad in a bid to make the end of season promotion play-offs.
While Thistle are interested, St Mirren are less likely to make an offer for the player whose contract expires this summer, even with former Bannsiders boss Oran Kearney at the helm.
McCauley is Coleraine's top scorer this season with eight Danske Bank Premiership goals, adding to the 17 league strikes he notched last season.
