'Should start every game': Hearts fans react to Bobby Burns' surprise Scottish Premiership club debut in Edinburgh derby
It may not have been an overly enjoyable day for Hearts supporters but one of the highlights being picked out on social media was a 'brilliant' Scottish Premiership full club debut for Bobby Burns.
The 19-year-old made his first league start for the club since his summer transfer from Glenavon and fans seemed on the whole impressed by his performance.
Hibernian took the three points after Daryl Horgan's brace completed a comeback victory at Tynecastle after Peter Haring had given the hosts a 25th minute lead.
Burns, who played eight Premiership games on loan at Livingstone earlier this season, came off the bench against Rangers during the week and his 30 minute cameo proved enough to convince manager Craig Levein to hand the former Glenavon teenager his first league start.
He would have ended the game with an assist on a late leveller had Arnaud Djoum's finishing been better when Burns' 80th minute cross found the midfielder in the box.
Here's what the fans made of Burns' display:
Why has it taken bobby burns so long to get into the team? Weve had a left back issue for ages and he was brilliant today— Connor 🇱🇻💉 (@ConnorHMFC) April 6, 2019

@lauriedunsire @DonaldsonESPN @AroundTheFunnel if you don’t take your chances you can have no complaints. On another day we could have scored 5 but it wasn’t to be. On a positive note I thought Bobby Burns was excellent and should retain his place for next week.— Grant Watson (@BrisbaneJambo) April 6, 2019
