Ross County were remarkable in achieving a top-six finish having once propped up the division after a poor start

As Scottish football concludes for another season, I have to say it’s been a campaign of upsets and underachievers — but also it’s shone a light on a few others who may not grab the headlines but are an important fabric of their club.

The biggest surprise came as Celtic snatched the Premiership trophy from rivals Rangers because after finishing a whopping 25 points behind their city rivals last season, they managed to claw that back and win one of their most satisfactory titles in a number of years.
