Watch: Former NI star CRUNCHES Chris Sutton live on BT Sport

"That's disgraceful."

Ex-Northern Ireland international Stephen Craigan has become an overnight internet sensation after his perfectly executed slide-tackle live on TV.

'Footballer tackles other footballer' isn't normally the making of a top twitter hit but when both are retired and now working as TV pundits, a robust challenge isn't standard behaviour.

Imagine Jamie Carragher ending Gary Neville live on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football. That would definitely be worth a watch actually.

North of the border, things seem much more relaxed and so Stephen Craigan had absolutely no qualms with coming in with an absolute barn-stormer on Chris Sutton, even as the former Celtic star was mid-conversation as he teed up Motherwell's game against Aberdeen.

Watch it right here. Oh and turn the volume up - the sound makes it:

"That's disgraceful." (Read this in a Scottish accent.)

And the fans, of course, are in absolute hysterics…

So was there a red card awaiting Craigan? Judging by the fact that he resumed his punditry duties shortly after, we guess not.

But at least we know all’s well with Sutton.

And in case you were wondering, Aberdeen won 0-1.
