We won’t crack, says Celtic star

Celtic defender Thomas Rogne insists the pressure to move 10 points clear at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League did not play a part in their title charge faltering with a 1-1 draw at Hamilton.

Rogne said: “We don't think about anyone but ourselves. We want the three points in every game. The only pressure we've got is what we put on ourselves.

“I think there should be pressure on a player to get three points in every game they play for Celtic. That should be a motivation, not something to get nervous about.

“Of course this result is disappointing but it's not a sprint, it's a marathon.”

Celtic have announced they will be appealing against the red card received by James Forrest during the draw at Hamilton.

The 19-year-old was sent off by Willie Collum following a late tackle on Hamilton full-back David Buchanan early in the second half of the dramatic contest.

The appeal will be Celtic's second to the Scottish Football Association this week after they challenged a six-match ban handed to manager Neil Lennon.
