The Red Arrows wish England luck ahead of World Cup

England face Tunisia in their opener on June 18.

The Red Arrows have given England a flypast to wish them good luck ahead of the World Cup.

Gareth Southgate and the England squad jet out to Russia this week but received their own flying visit at St George’s Park on Sunday.

It comes after the Three Lions spoke to injured servicemen from the Royal Marines in a bid to put the pressure of the World Cup into perspective.

The Red Arrows were returning to their RAF Scampton base from the RAF Cosford Airshow in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the forming of the Royal Air Force.

Wing Commander Neil Hope MBE said: “We were pleased to be able to complete a flypast over St. George’s Park as a good luck gesture to Gareth Southgate and his squad.

“The RAF and RAF Football Association send their best wishes to the England team for a successful summer.”

England face Tunisia on June 18 and also play Panama and Belgium in Group G.
