Trapattoni could return to club management following Republic of Ireland exit
GIOVANNI Trapattoni has claimed he is mulling over offers to return to football from north America and Japan.
The former Republic manager, who turns 75 in March, has made it clear that he is desperate to stay in the game.
Trapattoni was shown the door by the FAI in September after over five years in charge and indicated prior to his departure that he was wanted by other international teams.
However, the Italian has now suggested that he has offers from the club sphere – both from the MLS and the J League.
"I've received flattering requests from places like north America and Japan," he said. "We'll see whether I decide to go east or west."
Montreal Impact have been floated as a possible destination for Trapattoni as they are currently mulling over whether to extend the stay of their coach, Marco Schallibaum.
