Watch: Former Linfield forward Paul Smyth scores the winner on QPR debut
Former Linfield forward Paul Smyth has scored the winner for QPR on his Championship debut.
The 20-year-old gave his side a 2-1 lead against Cardiff City at Loftus Road on 72 minutes, marking his first senior appearance since his summer move in perfect style. The goal proved enough to win the game as his side came from 1-0 behind at the hour-mark.
Smyth's strike moved QPR up to 17th in the table and ended their run of three Championship games without a win.

Linfield reportedly held a six-figure valuation of the promising attacker, who finally clinched a move near the end of the summer window.
Speaking after his transfer, Smyth told www.qpr.co.uk: "It's a dream come true - it doesn't get much better than this.
"I've always had a soft spot for QPR - back in the Austin and Zamora days especially. They're two strikers I admire greatly."
