Watch: Cookstown artist pens a VERY catchy tune for Northern Ireland's World Cup play-off

If the Northern Ireland team need anything to listen to in the bus on the way to Windsor Park on Thursday evening, local musician Paul Hughes has given them just the tune.

The Cookstown artist and NI fan has penned his own version of Don McLean's legendary tune American Pie to help get us all pumped for the World Cup play-offs against Switzerland - as if we need it.

It's gone down an absolute treat with fans and it's pretty catchy. We spoke to Paul and he gave us his message for the team ahead of the crunch double-header: "Whatever happens you’ve done us all proud and we’ve enjoyed following you every step of the way!"

A long, long time ago

I can still remember how Healy used to make us smile. I know given half a chance that Lafferty can make those people dance and maybe they'd be happy for a while.

But the Germans made us shiver with every goal that they delivered.
