WATCH: Serbia pretend the floor is lava to score an outrageous goal

By Adam McKendry

Serbia are going to be up against it in Russia given they're in a group with Brazil and Switzerland - but if they can pull off a few more goals like this, then they may stand a chance.

Playing their final warm-up friendly against Bolivia on Saturday - which they would go on to win 5-1 - the Eagles pulled off one of the greatest goals of the season, scored by former Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

With the Serbs already three goals to the good, they decide to have some fun, Ivanovic heading a free kick back across the face of goal, Nikola Milenkovic chests it up for Adem Ljajic and he heads it over to Aleksandr Mitrovic.

Mitrovic then produces an obscene bicycle kick that finds Ivanovic at the back post and the defender slams it into the roof of the net with a vicious volley!

It's debatable whether Mitrovic pulled off the greatest pass in footballing history or if it was a shot off target, but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he put it right where he meant to.

Watch it below - it's a stunner:
