Switzerland are through to the World Cup finals after seeing off Northern Ireland 1-0 on aggregate, the only goal a contentious penalty scored at Windsor Park.

Referee Ovidiu Hategan pointed to the spot when a vicious Xherdan Shaqiri shot struck Corry Evans' arm. Windsor was silenced and the Northern Ireland players incensed.

Do you think it was a penalty? Have a look right here:

The Swiss dominated up until the goal and Haris Seferovic forced Michael McGovern into a top class first-half save before being inches away from converting a cross shortly before the break-through did arrive. That didn't make it any easier on the GAWA, who were less than impressed with the decision.

Northern Ireland put in an improved second leg display on Sunday but when Jonny Evans' injury-time header was cleared off the line, Switzerland were through.
